JASDF stands for Japan Air Self Defence Force that means

After the world war II Japana can not possese weapon for offence only defence force.
第二次世界大戦後日本は軍隊を持つことができません。
攻めの軍隊でなく守りの為の軍隊つまり自衛隊ということです。
